Speech Disorders
dromoLogio - Speech Therapy for Children & Adults | Karditsa

Speech disorders involve difficulties in understanding and/or producing speech and significantly affect daily communication, school performance and the social life of the individual. At DromoLogio, our modern speech therapy center in Karditsa, we offer specialized intervention for children and adults who face such difficulties.

What are Speech Disorders?

Speech disorders may include:

  • Speech delay (the child is slow to start talking or uses speech that is younger than their age)
  • Comprehension disorder (difficulty understanding concepts, instructions, or questions)
  • Expression disorder (difficulty forming sentences, limited vocabulary)
  • Aphasia (in adults after stroke or injury)
  • Disorders associated with neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism, ADHD, syndromes

When to seek help:

  • If your child does not speak or speaks very little for his age
  • If he constantly confuses or substitutes sounds
  • If he has difficulty understanding simple instructions
  • If his speech is difficult for others to understand
  • If there is speech loss after a neurological event (in adults)
